Thermal Performance
With ever soaring energy costs, its important to choose the right doors for your home. Our extensive range of PVC & Aluminium French doors are manufactured using state of the art machinery and the highest quality materials, to ensure that they offer they help to insulate your home and reduce energy costs. As standard all of our French doors are supplied with toughened double glazed argon filled units and you have the option to upgrade these to triple glazed argon filled units, for even greater thermal performance.
How to Measure for you French Doors
WIDTH
Measure 3 width positions. Top, middle and bottom marked as A, B and C from brick to brick.
Take the smallest of these 3 measurements and deduct 10mm for fitting and sealant tolerances
HEIGHT
Measure 3 height positions. Top, middle and bottom marked as A, B and C from brick to brick.
Take the smallest of these 3 measurements and deduct 10mm for fitting and sealant tolerances
Please remember:
Measure in at least three different places and deduct 10mm from both the final height and width measurements - we do not make any fitting allowances on the sizes provided.
Measurements will need to include the frame, cill and any frame extensions required.
All dimensions to be supplied in Metric (mm) and all designs are to be viewed from the outside.
Always check your measurements at least twice to ensure you have the correct size.
Ensure the frame size is smaller than the brickwork opening.
Do not measure your existing door or frame but measure the brick opening.

Our PVCu windows and doors are available in 26 colours from stock. By choosing a woodgrain foiled finish
you are able to bring your windows to life with a glossy, freshly painted, realistic timber effect.
Aluminium French Doors
At External Doors Online our Aluminium French Doors & Smarts Heritage French doors are available in three standard powder coated colours, with the option of choosing a different colour for the interior to help you create the look that is perfect for your property.
The standard colour combinations are as follows; grey out / grey in, white out / white in, black out / black in, grey out / white in & black out / white in.
If one of the standard powder coated colour choices doesn’t suit your application, why not take a look at our extensive woodgrain colour range available in our Aluminium French Door range. Available in woodgrain; white, cream, agate grey, anthracite grey, black, chartwell green, golden oak, irish oak and rosewood, we can offer a colour and finish for any application. All woodgrain colours are available from stock, on a 20-25 day lead time.
